This squat tower is indeed impressive, though large sections of it have fallen away. It is circular, about 100' in diameter and 75' tall. Peering through the large gaps in the walls, you can see that the tower appears hollow and empty, except for piles of rubble. The walls and floor are unadorned and marred with swirled patterns of black and gray. Though most of the stone roof has collapsed, portions of it still balance atop the walls. The rubble lying along the floor is distinctively stone colored, in contrast to the blackness of the walls and floor. Rising from a large pile of rubble in the center of the room, stands a lone figure reaching out toward the party.
This tower served as the testing grounds for all energy producing magics and technology. Close inspection of the floor and walls will reveal that the swirled, blackened pattern is the result of intense heat and flame. Scraping the ash and tar from the stone will reveal the stone's true colorΓÇöthe same as that of the rubble. The figure is actually a stone guardian, hip deep in rubble. In the guardian's chest is a indention that looks as if it should hold a spherical object about 6" in diameter. Jillian first discovered the orb here. Recognizing the statue as a stone guardian, he entrapped it in rubble, and with his magic, was able to remove the orb before the guardian could free itself. Upon removing the orb, the guardian froze. If the party finds the orb and places it into the statue, the guardian will animate and attack until it is destroyed, the party leaves the tower, or the orb is removed.
